چکیده

For any rational number h and all sufficiently large n we give a deterministic construction for an n× bhnc compressed sensing matrix with (`1, t)-recoverability where t = O( √ n). Our method uses pairwise balanced designs and complex Hadamard matrices in the construction of -equiangular frames, which we introduce as a generalisation of equiangular tight frames. The method is general and produces good compressed sensing matrices from any appropriately chosen pairwise balanced design. The (`1, t)-recoverability performance is specified as a simple function of the parameters of the design. To obtain our asymptotic existence result we prove new results on the existence of pairwise balanced designs in which the numbers of blocks of each size are specified. 2010 Mathematics Subject classification: 05B05, 42C15, 94A08

Compressed sensing and designs: theory and simulations

In An asymptotic result on compressed sensing matrices [4], a new construction for compressed sensing matrices using combinatorial design theory was introduced. In this paper, we analyse the performance of these matrices using deterministic and probabilistic methods. We provide a new recovery algorithm and detailed simulations. These simulations suggest that the construction is competitive with...

Phase diagram of matrix compressed sensing

In the problem of matrix compressed sensing, we aim to recover a low-rank matrix from a few noisy linear measurements. In this contribution, we analyze the asymptotic performance of a Bayes-optimal inference procedure for a model where the matrix to be recovered is a product of random matrices. The results that we obtain using the replica method describe the state evolution of the Parametric Bi...

Explicit RIP Matrices in Compressed Sensing from Algebraic Geometry

Compressed sensing was proposed by E. J. Candés, J. Romberg, T. Tao, and D. Donoho for efficient sampling of sparse signals in 2006 and has vast applications in signal processing. The expicit restricted isometry property (RIP) measurement matrices are needed in practice. Since 2007 R. DeVore, J. Bourgain et al and R. Calderbank et al have given several deterministic cosntrcutions of RIP matrice...

Application of 1-D discrete wavelet transform based compressed sensing matrices for speech compression

BACKGROUND Compressed sensing is a novel signal compression technique in which signal is compressed while sensing. The compressed signal is recovered with the only few numbers of observations compared to conventional Shannon-Nyquist sampling, and thus reduces the storage requirements. In this study, we have proposed the 1-D discrete wavelet transform (DWT) based sensing matrices for speech sign...

On asymptotic structure in compressed sensing

This paper demonstrates how new principles of compressed sensing, namely asymptotic incoherence, asymptotic sparsity and multilevel sampling, can be utilised to better understand underlying phenomena in practical compressed sensing and improve results in real-world applications. The contribution of the paper is fourfold: First, it explains how the sampling strategy depends not only on the signa...
